How would a grade 3 stress fracture in the legs impact Army basic training?

Hello, I am curious to know if anyone has experience with a grade 3 stress fracture in the legs and how that impacted army basic training? My spouse has 4 weeks left until graduation.
Edited: He shared with me that his legs only hurt when he has to run for a while but he has been able to do everything else just fine. Recently MRI showed that they are grade 3 and was given crutches.

If this happened before basic it should have been disclosed during the enlistment process. If that’s the case, the doctor would have reviewed the documents submitted and granted approval. I’d say if that did happen, a medical doctor blessed off on it and should be fine.

No, he was fine before basic. This happened during week 3 of basic training. He started to have pain in the back of his legs and he only felt the pain whenever he had to run.

Has he gone and been seen for it? If not, he should. He will get proper time and care in order to heal properly. Dazhane Merritt

He is currently waiting for the DS to schedule an appointment to see an orthopedics to figure out next steps. The last thing he had was an MRI and that's how he learned that its a 3rd grade stress fracture. So I'm wondering what could happen next and if other people who may have had this were able to finish their training and graduate.

If he completes all graduation requirements, including Rick Marches he will be fine. Depending on his MOS, one has to ask themselves, if you have that level of fracture during basic training what will happen during service? If it is serious enough he may wish to rethink the military. It is tough on the body, daily runs, heavy lifting, 25K marches routinely in some organizations.
On the other hand, it may go away and never affect him again. A lot to process.
