I never really listened to either artist before or after their passing. I really did not hear or see a shift in how Hip Hop/ R&B was performed since their passing either.

In my opinion, Aaliyah had a street style but wasn't extreme with her appearance or work. 2 Pac had an extreme street look but he spoke for the causes of black unity, uplifting America, consciousness, and appreciating our women.
