My posts keep vanishing...any one seen the one about the female NCO I had to tell to shave? If you do, please cut and paste and send to me...that was a keeper.

SPC Billings. Agree, we should all have standards for our groomers. Everyone should have their own orderly like it used to be!

I usually say I gave up on my hair along time ago and so I just shave it all the time. But in truth my hair gave up on me after OIF 1 and hasn't tried to make a strong comeback since then.

It's actually a really funny article for me. I got a high and tight once and my chief laid into me about being out of regs because of it. I'm not sure if it ever changed but back then you had to have a taper from the neck and up the sides so the shaved sides of a high and tight were out of regs.

Used to hear often "if USMC wanted you to have a wife, they'd issue you one", so......."if military wanted you to have hair they'd issue you some"? Two shades of green for tropical, light green and dark green, two shades of tan for desert. The old guys would be good to go in arctic - naturally white (assuming they still have any hair). Some of the youngsters would dig it, maybe?

Wild and wooly, or bald and smooth enough to smack... tough choice!

Military appearance is everything. We must look like soldiers. with that said i still believe having hair is not the issue. as long as you stay in regs and arent keeping your hair unkempt, i think it is possible to have hair and still maintain the standards.

My barber says he can save my hair. He offers me a paper bag.
