So unless it has changed again 35 is the oldest you can be to join the Army. When you have Active duty years it cuts down the age of what you are. so I believe with only 2.5 years of active duty you are over the age limit. Would also need a waiver for the RE3 code.

But like everything else check with your local recruiter he has all the facts.

Is your medical RE3 issue resolved? If not then that medical condition/conditions could hold you back as much if not more than your age. But as others said only a recruiter can tell you for sure.

PFC Brandon Overby Most Guard units have a higher ceiling for enlistment. In my case, I can get into the MO Air Guard up until I hit 42; only ~2 yrs prior service.
