I am a 15R with the Mississippi NG and my ETS date is coming up soon. I want to go Active as a 35F. Do I have a shot?

Yea you have a shot. The question is do you want to wait for a Conditional Release to be processed or go Active after ETS. Possibly lose the SGT rank based on what MEPS says for rank determination.

Unofficially right now my unit has me designated as an E6 without ALC and I know without a shadow of a doubt that I’ll lose that. I’ve been told by my recruiter that I wouldn’t lose my 5 but I’ll believe it when I see it. As far as my 368 goes my unit has thrown up so many roadblocks that I’m just gonna wait till July when I get out to start my Active duty processing. I’m super excited but also super nervous

SGT (Join to see) - Yea, wait until the packet at MEPS shows you're keeping SGT. Certainly do not count that chicken. On the plus side, if you get dropped to SPC when going Active Duty, it shouldn't take long before you get it back. Good luck.

I got an update. I signed for 35f on Friday!!! I leave in October. My wife and I are super excited.
