I've been working with Branch and my career adviser for a seat for less than a week, and 15E was my second choice, after 15W, which I could not get an immidiate seat for.

15E is a pretty solid MOS. If you're airborne, there's a decent chance you end up in USASOC which is a solid place to be. However working with them every day (I'm a 15W) in my opinion, their job is rather monotonous. I'd be happy to talk to you about my experiences with them if you'd like more info.

I was a 96U which was the MOS for 15W before we went Aviation. I flew the Hunter system. In the old days 96U did both crew chief and flight. I honestly preferred the crew chief position. You will do more than just crew chief, but that is a good portion of operations. Flying is monotonous, I did enjoy operating the camera though. I was very good at camera ops.

PFC (Join to see) - how is it being a 15W? I'm reclassing to this MOS. Is there anything to study to prepare me for AIT?

I can only speak of 15w as far as training goes, I'm about to start the grey eagle ifr course, as being a MOS-T you will be put on shadow platform after completing the common core classes UGS-unmanned ground school, USO unmanned scout operations, from UGS you will finish out by taking the ppkt the private pilots knowledge test, after completing this course alone you get the ground training for a private pilot license all you would need after is actual flight time with a instructor in a plane. Also you can take the uas license test(optional) I highly recommend going for this it's a help when you get out (another check box) USO is learning the operations side of it, another thing with the mos comes a security clearance that is also worth a bit when you get out. As far as living goes it's much easier on the mos-t with only real limit being no drinking in the barracks. If you have any questions feel free to ask hope this help

What are the chances of an MOS-T E-4 SPC getting the Grey Eagle Platform and can you provide any advice how one can get the Grey Eagle Training once there at FHU?

I've spent time in both an infantry brigade and a combat aviation brigade as a shadow 15e, in my experience we flew more outside of deployment in an infantry brigade rather than the aviation brigade. But that's probably because they are still working out the kinks of the aviation restructure.
