SSG (Join to see) let me tell you, I was an E6 with 7 years TIG 13 TIS, no derogatory info in my file yet it took me 5 looks to get selected to E7, but made the E8 list on my first look below the zone. I seen stellar NCOS not get selected. The board will see that ncoer, but they will also realize that you had room to grow and improve. If you an impartial opinion, send me your board file via .mil @ [login to see] . I will be more than happy to help you. Like others said, is not impossible, challenging yes.

They have improved..it is the only "red mark" on my record..and that even includes negative counseling statements. while I understand those don't follow you lol, just making the point that my one hiccup is the only one I have. Again thank you for the info and advice

again thank you for your reply and im sorry it took so long.... board files are opening up 2 February,... I can always copy it and send it to you then... any help would be greatly appreciated
aside from the deployment (currently afghan) the only thing to really change I think is one more award from PCS move and I also became MRT qualified...good bullet LOL but not something "stellar" I am hoping the next NCOER is completed and they can see fit to look past the bad and see all of the good I have done in the few years since this happened

SSG (Join to see) - Since you were QMP retained, went to SLC, and I'm feeling you NCOERs have improved since....You have a decent chance of getting selected. May not be First Look, but the chances are still good.
