If you can chance your MOS. Look past the service and think what you may like doing after your time in the Army. I went to night school to study Criminal Justice while I was on active duty, and once out I became a police officer. If not police work ,firefighting, EMT, teaching or something you what to do??? Thats my answer to you SPC. I hope the Best for your in your career and in your future. Note; doing nothing and just waiting in Not the answer as the Army will put you where they need bodies. The Marine Corps did it the Army will do it also....

when i say this, you will find that there is stuff you do not qualify for. But it does not hurt to try. I wanted to get into flying when I was in Army ROTC, but my vision was too bad. The army trained helicopter pilots buy the ton. I could not swim so no ranger school. My kidney stone surgery permanently DQued me from airborne. and the list goes on. Language school is always a plus.

Try for Civil Affairs 38B10 the class is demanding but also satisficing and a great job to be in. Don't let anyone hold you back, pick a job see what you need to do to get the job and go for it. You will never know what you can do tell you take the first step and best Wishes.
Be all you can be.

That's a USAR MOS. For Active Duty he'd need to attend CAAS, get Selected, then graduate the 38R/W pipeline.

Out of curiosity, how do you not have tanks? That is something outside my experience.

Primary NCO. Get prepped for E-5. If you have already done that go to an advanced diesel mechanic school. Keep in mind I got out 40 years ago after doing 10 years so i find out a lot that i no longer know what i am talking about.

I might suggest taking the test that shows your interest. My son did that and changed his major in college at the end of his junior year. I know that the military gives test for abilities.
