I’d start with Delta school. Then you can pop by the Q course and cruise by Ranger School on your way to SOTIC. Air Assault is the 10 hardest days in the Army, so after you bang out DA Sniper you might be ready for those ropes.

When I enlisted in 1967, my recruiter talked me into signing up for Microwave school. Best thing that ever happened to me. Electronics school taught me the basic theory and when I got out and went back to college, I aced all my electronics classes. That set me up for another 50 years in high tech.

Go to aircraft/helicopter repair/crew chief school. Get your A&P license and when you get out work for airlines. There is a shortage of A&P mechanics.

Unit Movement, NBC, Unit Armorer take as many courses as possible. Max your PT, and weapons qualification. Promotion points is what you need to advance your career. Whatever courses are available take them. Good Luck

Go take EVERY CLEP AND DANTES TEST YOU CAN! I took every single one offered when I went in and that knocked out my first two years of college. (Which is still basically a rehash of high school). I passed all but one, economics, missed that by one point. I had an excess of credits from those two tests. So nail that first (ours were free, not sure about it now, or if you're guard/reserve for that matter). After that, have the Ed office throw your military training in for credit as well. Then hammer out what you want to do AFTER the military. I told every kid who came to work for me the same thing, all thru my 26 year two service career. Several demanded that I take their first salute (mustangs, twenty of them in my career). I know people who finished their doctorates before they retired. Not many but a few. Plenty of master's degrees as well. Go take those tests!

College, college, college. Most commands will stand behind you for doing it because those numbers are reported up the chain. Once you have 60 hours you can consider to apply for warrant officer school or work toward going to OCS. Speak with your command or career NCO. Trying to reclassify outside of reenlistment is almost impossible. Unfortunately, being in Armor limits your upward mobility unless there is combat involving Armor units (Nothing really like that since first Gulf War, everything has been LIC for past 25 years). If you want to stay combat arms your best choice is to switch to infantry.

We all know that a job in the military won't last forever, so having said that, I think you should be looking into a school that will you to easily transition into a civilian career after the military. Not sure how much time you're planning on staying in uniform, but time does and will pass by quickly. After serving the military, and protecting your country, at some point you should start to focus on yourself and your family.
