I am about to go CO-ADOS for a year, but I'm also supposed to take command of my NG unit in December. Is that allowed?

From my understanding, in order to hold two jobs like that they both have to be in the same unit. So if your active orders have you working in the same unit that you'd be a commander in then you might be able to get a waiver and do both at the same time. If not, then you wouldn't be able to. Your results may vary though.

1LT (Join to see) this seems an odd set-up. Why not have you just be the CDR all the time? That would be the most elegant, and by far the least confusing, solution. I suspect that I might understand the logic behind it and, if I do, I disagree with it.
Your TPU boss and your ADOS boss will both be the BN CDR. If your ADOS boss wants you to work some weekends, that is totally within his legit power to direct, as you are on 24/7 orders.
The XO has the power delegated him by the CDR-which is you. So this shouldn't be a major issue. Unless there is an ADOS CDR running around?....
Keep in mind, you can only be rated in one position at a time, I would be interested to see if you were rated as the CDR or the XO.
