1) I have seen posts where the length of school (AIT) for reclass has been mentioned as 16 weeks or (6 weeks + Distance Learning). How is it determined if a re-class soldier who is already qualified in another MOS will get the 16 week or 6 week +DL training length?
2) Is the security clearance requirement for 35F TS?
3)At what point is the Clearance process initiated and should we have received the required clearance before shipping to school?

Thank You for your response. Would you know how it is determined as to which soldiers would go to the DL+6 weeks AIT and which soldiers would be assigned the 16 week AIT?

SPC (Join to see) talk to your School NCO as they are the ones who put in your atrrs request. When I did 25B reclass some soldiers only did one phase a year.

When I went to AIT in 2004 -05 (I'm a 35F) we had people who were forced to reclass to (then) 96B when they got rid of Morse code interceptors. We had like 4 reclass in our class. They did the entire 16 weeks with us.

Is the six weeks plus distance learning something new due to Covid?

You should have already submitted your request for a TS/SCI with your S2. I'm not sure how you got a class date without showing you have an Open T5.

I had my SSBI (that's what it was called then for the investigation) started when I went to reception. I reviewed my SF86 there again. In AIT about halfway through I had an interview. I think May 2005 my clearance and SCI eligibility were granted. So 10 months mine took.

Do you have a class date? Have you talked to your S2 about initiating a PSIP for a TS/SCI?

I have a current SSBI completed already. It was completed approx. 3 years ago with favorable determination however TS was never adjudicated because my job did not require that.
