I am attempting to transfer State National Guard awards to my Active ERB. Can anyone help?

I was awarded multiple Iowa Commendation Medals(ICOM) while I was enlisted in the Iowa National Guard(IANG). This is their equivalent of the Army Commendation Medal(ARCOM), but issued at the state level. I have been informed by my "in-processing" DA civilians and other military personnel that I can add them onto my ERB. My S1 says that i cannot add them to my ERB due to the drop down menu selections on eMILPO. Has anyone else encountered this or can help out? Thanks

On the older ERB, there was specifically a place for State Awards, which you may not wear on your Activr Duty ribbon rack. On the new SRB, I believe your S1 is correct and it is not something you can add to an Activr Duty record; it would not matter if you could, you are not authorized title 32/State awards on a title 10/Activr Duty uniform.
If you’re really concerned about them/proud of your achievements, just make sure the narriative or state equivalent to a DA 638 is in your IPERMs record.

Great answer. Next time you will see them is a retirement rack. Earned never go away just the difference in status when you can wear them.

You can get them added, you won’t ever be able to wear them though. Wearing them doesn’t carry from state to state or component to component.

State awards and some other service branch awards are not available on the menu in eMILPO. Your award certs and orders should still be in your OMPF (iPERMS) as records of your awards.
Your ERB is just a "brief" of most, but not all, of what is in your OMPF.
