So I am currently a civilian and have been accepted to the WOFT/WOCS program. Perhaps its the Marine in me but showing up in civilians at a school house sounds like a bad way to start off seeing as the majority of people are going here either from Army basic or are currently active E5s and above. Regardless it seems I'm in the very small minority who will have absolutely nothing when I arrive. is there a process for initial issue for people in my situation? I've taken the steps to order the special items such as name tapes. My recruiter sort of scratched his head at this question so any info would be great!

I know plenty of Marine to Army WOFT crossovers. They will get you your uniforms. I know they used to take you over to Fort Benning (about 2 hours away) and issue you a complete OCIE set. Don’t worry. You’ll be fine.

I don’t want to lead you in the wrong direction, but my best advice to you would be that once you receive your orders, there is the number for HHC 1-145th Aviation. That is the company you will initially report to once you go to Fort Rucker. Give them a call and ask them the process for recieving your initial issue clothing. You will also want to report in uniform.

You will most likely go thru Army BCT and have them issued, but I'm sure some Army drills or recs can clarify.
