I have already contacted the brigade CSM and he directed me to the S1 NCOIC who then deployed and has not responded to me. I then called the S1 again and they said all medics go to the BSB so I called them and thier S1 said since im not on thier gains roster, no one knows where im going and couldnt provide me any more information . what should I do at this point as I placed a 4187 to report early due to some other information that was provided to me by the S1 in regard to a possible deployment rotation

SGT Ogden, I'm the G5 for 3ID. Send me a private message with your contact information and I'll get you squared away. In the mean time, I'll be your sponsor until we get you linked up with a proper one from your unit.

I've been at Fort Stewart for nearly 5 years. I work in the hospital. If you have general questions about the area, I can get you answers. 1SG is correct; sponsors are overrated but pushed pretty hard here so I'm surprised no one has contacted you. what particular questions do you have? I know a lot of people from other units and may be able to get you connected.

I am due to PCS in the next couple of months and have not been assigned a sponsor. What would be my next step so I can get some help?

Well first you are supposed to produce sponsorship paperwork or you can't clear, as far as everyone giving you the run around you may need to call Marne Replacement Center which you will go to when you sign in and then you will be able to address the, fact your unit is not communicating.. But know this your orders can be changed. [login to see] .. good luck

You can forget getting a sponsor for Fort Stewart, I spent 6 month trying to get one and that was commen for most of the troops going there.

That was common throughout my entire military career. The only sponsor I was ever assigned was to my last assignment as a 35N instructor at Goodfellow AFB. My sponsor left for warrant school about 2 weeks before I got there. My worst experience in being reassigned to a new unit was in 2005 when I was pulled out of BNCOC (ALC) in order to go to Iraq with 3 ID. The Branch manager assured me that they requested me by name and when I got to Iraq, nobody was expecting me. From what I have seen, it seems that the Army doesn't take the sponsorship program seriously.

Whats up Battle? If you have already seen the Brigade CSM, then you go back to him for further instructions, utilize the open door policy. If you dont get results, go higher. Dont be afraid of Division, someone has dropped the ball and needs to be policed up. Mission First !
