I am just starting a new business and have zero entrepreneur experience. Does anyone have any good advice on good ways to network/succeed?

PVT Karl Goode Always remember that your name and your word are your biggest asset. Word of mouth will be invaluable to your business.
1. Always provide the best product or service possible
2. If you make a promise you must keep it
If you make a mistake, make it right
I ran a small carpet cleaning business for 5 years in Alaska. I made $40.00 per hour on average when I worked. I only broke one item in a customer/friends house. I sincerely apologized, owned my mistake and made it as right as I could. I never lost them as a customer or friend. I closed the business only because my Deployment schedule and gaining rank reduced my time to run it properly. Rather than provide half a$$ed service, I recommended another provider to my customers and shuttered it. it was an invaluable lesson for me in business and in how such a business can positively impact the business owner and the customers!
Good Luck!

PVT Karl Goode - Look at your business "space" and go to meetings with your competitors. Also the local Chamber of Commerce holds regular meeting that will give you opportunity to meet with potential:
Customer
Suppliers
Rivals
Your rivals should also be your friends. There is plenty of business to go around and you should know who else is out there in your business space. This will give you an opportunity to know who is quality and who is transient or poorly established. NEVER speak badly of a competitor. Learn who is as good as you or better and be prepared to offer them to customers when you cannot fill the order or job. It will eventually turn into a two way street. Remember always that speaking poorly of another provider speaks poorly of you as well.
