I am moving from active to Reserves and decided to reclass to 31B. What are my chances of going AGR as a 31B?

I am being placed in a L&O unit and I’m not to sure what that means. What does the reclass course consist of and What should I expect during drill?

According to https://www.goarmy.com/careers-and-jobs/current-and-prior-service/continue-serving/army-reserve-prior-service/active-guard-reserve.html there are MPs listed. But, I recommend contacting HRC to find out for sure since they regulate AGR folks

So, you want to leave active, so that you can go reserves and go active? That sounds like a much longer road to 20. You might be sitting around for a year or two waiting for your class seat at 31B school.

Your chances are very good, i did the same thing and retired AGR with the National Guard

L&O is Law and Order, primary mission is police functions. There are AGR slots for MP’s but is generally consists of operations or training NCO’s. Reclass course is 29 days and it is taught at Ft Hunter Liggett CA, not sure if the RTI’s teach it as well

I went from Active to Guard and was on ADOS orders after I hit the system before having my first drill. But I came into recruiting, then became AGR after 4 months. I suggest finding the units around you and go introduce yourself. The people within the unit can notify you of any openings before they hit the system. It’s not promised but it’s possible.

Your chances of AGR are pretty high if you are willing to reclass to 42A. AGR's drive admin and planning. Any other MOS/Branch in the AGR are still bogged down in Admin and Planning exercises for the TPUs.
