- PT and Weapons is the biggest ones really. If your CoC likes you, they might let you shoot paper for a 30/30. I never got that treatment, some units do it though.
- There's a lot of really short classes you can take also. Field San, Mail Handler, Bus Driver, etc...
- Correspondence courses are ridiculously easy. Do the skillport ones, you can max those out really fast.
- Awards: Never had an issue with these, BUT, if you passed the board you know how the board works. Soldier of the month is an Easy AAM, Soldier of the Quarter is an Arcom. Get both of those and that's 30 extra points.
- College! No, im not telling you to take courses. Look up NCI, North Central Institute. I never did a day of college before or while I was in the Army. I sent these guys my ERB and 200 dollars, they sent me transcript for 50 credits, which my S1 uploaded. I straight up bought college credits. I highly suggest you do this, it will pay for itself your first E-5 LES. (http://www.nci.edu)
-WLC, I never went but that's also a stack of points. I made SGT 3 months before the end of my second deployment, as soon as I went back I began ACAP. If you have not done this, don't send to NCI yet. If you send WLC paperwork with your ERB to NCI you get extra credits in leadership and some extra stuff.

NCI is right outside of Ft. Campbell, KY. Pretty much everyone in the 101st pays them cash for college credits. Many other places will also "evaluate" your military training for college credits. NCI will give you the most out of all of them, but be aware, although the Army see's those as real credits and gives you promo points, no respectable school will accept NCI credits. They give you credits in things like "Marksmanship", "Field Experience", etc...
Good deal all in all though. $200 for 50 promotion points. Pays for itself your first check as a SGT.
