I enlisted in the Army with a Bachelor’s degree. Am I eligible for civilian education points since I attained it before enlisting?

Thanks in advance. I have been getting conflicting answers from my S1 and education center. And yes I realize I could’ve gone straight to OCS.

Yes. You'd be eligible for those points even if you got your degree after joining.

AR 600-8-19 Enlisted Promotions and Reductions, 3-19 Civilian Education
You should get points for any post-high school education. Once your transcripts are turned in to education, they will update your ERB and submit a copy to your iPerms. Your promotion points for civilian education will then be pulled from your transcript or these sources. I've never heard of anyone looking at the year you graduated vs your BASD/PESD to try to reduce someone's points.

One minor correction: Take your transcripts to your BN S-1. Have either a clerk or the NCOIC enter your college credits into your SRB. Most importantly, ask for a print-out of your now updated SRB. The points may take 24-48 hours to populate in the system, but your Education will be immediately visible on your SRB.
Before you do this, ask your S-1 NCOIC/OIC if they require an Official (sealed envelope) or Unofficial (Student copy/open envelope) transcript. Some S-1 Shops will require an official transcript. I never did-- why would I make a Soldier pay for an official transcript just to update his/her SRB? But some S-1 personnel can be... "difficult."

TSgt (Join to see) - Good correction. I'm National Guard, for us it is our state education department that handles all our civilian ed updates.

TSgt (Join to see) - "difficult" meaning the regulation requires official transcripts? Some S1 sections do take liberty with "official". I have seen clerks that let you log in to the website and pull it down in front of them, others will take just about anything.
Most S1 I have met have no clue how to tell if a web transcript is official or are not properly trained on what an appropriate source document is. The difficulties arise is a Soldier walks in with a copy and the clerk can't read it. They have to go back and get an official one anyway.

I am in the same spot! My S1 gave me the points maxing out my PPW! You just don’t get the extra 10 points for degree completion until you do a masters.
