What did the drill sergeants/cadre say when you asked them about this?

PV2 (Join to see) - I saw you respond that somewhere else. As I said, let them handle it. You aren't the first one this has happened to. As stated, it could be waiting on a security clearance if that's required for your MOS. Or any reason. I'd just try checking in on it every day at least.

PV2 (Join to see) As an Old Soldier, I cannot understand that you have No Leadership or Chain of Command to ask such a question?

Do you ask the Drills twice a day? Become a nuisance, then they will want you out of their hair PV2 (Join to see)
I once met the 6th Army NCO of the of the Year, a SSG at a Commander’s Conference. Whenever he was introduced to anyone, he said, “I want to be a First Sergeant”. Even the 6th Army’s LTG convening the conference could not make that happen at the time, but everyone got tired of that young SSG’s plea!

The way I remember it working, the soldier was sent home to await orders and drew casual pay from a nearby military installation. When two years were up, they went to where they got their pay and were discharged.

Have you spoken with your Cadre? I know back in the day there used to be a number you could call (it was automated and you had to plug in information) that would tell you if you were on assignment or not and where you were on assignment to. Approach your Cadre and ask them if they can get the number to HRC...or an email for a POC...at HRC that can answer this question for you
