I had the Montgomery GI bill. My exit date was 4/1996. Is my GI bill still something I can use toward student loans?

I haven’t ever heard of using GI Bill towArd paying student loans. GI Bill pays you while you are enrolled in school. If you were in school and didn’t apply to use it you are out of luck.

It's BS, but you had 10 years after your last ETS date to use.
I don't agree with it, it sends the message that vets cannot be educated after 10 years.
Female vets that marry and have children should be especially pissed off.
But I've spoke my peace to every congressman, senator and anyone else who would listen with no luck.
