If they won't waiver it, I suggest the Air National Guard. I believe they will take prior service up to age 59 as long as that will allow them 20 total years TIS.

Air National Guard already said no early last year. And I spent April - December trying to get in Army National Guard (My recruiter went unresponsive for 4 months), and then they declined to waiver since I was prior AF and not prior Army (Found that out a week after I turned 51, if it had been processed timely, wouldn't have needed the waiver).

Generally no. The basic rule is that you have to be able to complete 20 years of service before you reach age 60. If I am doing the math correctly, you will only have 19 years total by the time you reach 60.

SSgt John P You could join the Army Reserve or National Guard, depending on the MOS, we have some MOS that will go to age 62. You could discuss going to the Warrant Officer program, those have age waivers especially for Cyber or other critical areas. Not sure what you are targeting.
You may want to hedge your bet and go for the blended retirement program, I know you are targeting the 20 year plan.

SSgt John P - I am retired and not in the recruiters office, but Google is an amazing tool and I searched 'army national guard prior service enlistment age'
I can't tell what state you are in from your profile, so go to the Guard / Reserve recruiter.
