Lady from the VA told me to right a congressional letter, but didn’t tell me who to send it to.

I remember a gal named Jeri Simons. It would autocorrect to Jerk Simian every time. Every now and then someone would call for the Jerk. There are worse things than right/rite/write.

Hate to break it to you but a congressional letter won't do a thing for an RE 4 code. Also why are you taking advice from a person in the VA? You should be talking to a recruiter. You need to be submitting a review to your board of corrections for that RE 4 to be looked at and possibly downgraded to an RE 3.

As to whom you send your letter to? What is your home state of residence? Look up the Congressional representatives from your state and write them. While you can write to all the members of Congress, the ones from your state are the most likely to be the most receptive to you as you are their constituent.

Is code 3 better? That’s what my husband has and is attempting to get back in.

Mallory Massey - It's better than a RE 4. Better still if it was 2 or below but it is what it is. Good luck to him.

You should send it to your congress member for your district. If you aren’t sure you can look it up using google.

Or you can hedge your bets and send it to every congress member for your state. Usually they will just send a form letter with an e pen signature.

As others have said it’s going to be almost impossible to re-enlist with a 4. You can google the question and see where this has been discussed many times before. Not sure what you got a 4 for, but as others are suggesting might be an easier battle getting your 4 changed administratively to a 3 and then go from there.

She was just trying to politely get you out of her office. You aren't reenlisting with an RE4 brother...
