I have seen medals and ribbons worn on the Army Service Uniform during a ball. If it isn't specified in the dress code, which do you prefer?

Wearing them during a ball isn't required. However, If you are attending a formal event, it gives the person the chance to show that their uniform is up to date, and worn correctly. The ASUs give you the chance to show the ribbons and medals you will not see on your duty uniform. I prefer to have mine up to date, and with the decorations I have been awarded.
