I would recommend getting with your schools NCO. That person is probably in your Battalion S3 shop.

As SFC Zelbst started make sure you entered into your Battalion’s BLC OML. The only person truly looking out for your career is you.

I just passed the Promotion Board. How soon can I attend BLC? Are there any ongoing BLC classes at Ft Bliss and do virtual BLC classes exist?

First off congrats on passing the board. That being said NO ONE will look after your advancement better than you. While it may fall on your chain of command or senior NCOs to get you added to the OML for schools, it would behoove you to personally check that you have in fact been added. You've gotta remember your squad leader/PSG has other soldiers they have to supervise. Ronald Reagan quoted to Mikhail Gorbachev "Trust but verify ". In your case that means trust your leadership to do their job but verify they actually did

Last I knew, all Resident PME courses are on hold until furhter notice. I do know that Reservists have the opportunity to do DL NCOA courses. One of my Soldiers is doing eBLC (emergency BLC). I'm not sure if Active Duty folks have the same opportunity, though.

They do. I know 2 soldiers from my last unit at Bliss that conducted a virtual BLC last month. Apparently BLC, MLC, and USASMA are doing virtual courses during the covid pandemic. ALC and SLC are not. So guidance from big army is that SGTs and SSGs that are otherwise eligible for promotion can be promoted to their next respective ranks and attend PME when they can.

BLC attendance on Fort Bragg is slotted by number of promotion points. The higher the points, the sooner you go. This is because the higher the points the more likely you are to make cut off scores.
There is a packet that needs to be completed and turned in. With the COVID the packets are super easy.

I’m with 1AD Cab at bliss. Currently I was told it will be on squad leader’s recommendation for who is ready to go to blc because oml isn’t how its working right now. So talk to you squad leader.

There is a online BLC currently. One of my Soldiers starts on the 18th of this month.
