I just realized today that of all the people who thank me for my service, it's blacks, whites, and a few latin. The exception or the rule?

I think that it's great. I don't think that it's the exception to the rule, I think it all depends what part of our Great Country you reside in. Here in the Northeast, I get them all!

What rule are you talking about? Certain races, and I suppose you mean Latinos, are less thankful for military service? How large was your sample size? Are you always in uniform or wearing your Army tshirt? Strange question.

Do others who live in this country think we did not fight for their rights too?

I'm serious, I get so many people, Military, Veterans and civilians alike that thank me for my Service every week. I get together every other week with three of my friends, we all served in Vietnam, one is a SEAL, one is another Marine and the third was in the Army. We meet for lunch and we always, without fail, have several patrons that thank us and many times, when we are about to leave the restaurant, the wait person tells us that someone else paid for our meals! It sure as hell is quite a turn around from the Welcome Home we never received when we came back to the World from Nam!
