I lied at meps . I was told I had heart murmur when I was 6 and was told that I would grow out of it little to say I didn’t they found it at meps . I have to go to a cardiologist 3 weeks from now to say if it’s a no go or not . The doctor who found it said it not a big deal and they will let me in . But I’m afraid that they will go back on my medical records and find out I lied . A bunch of others told me to just play dumb . What do you think will they look back on my medical records after finding a heart murmur ?

I'm not saying I'm OSI, but I can check this for you before they do to..... Help you out. Just tell me where your MEPS station is and I'll do what I can. Great question! And honesty is always the best policy.

And for everyone telling you to just keep lying about it, they can just fuck right the fuck off. The core values for any branch aren't just words and neither is the oath. If you really want to clear this up, make an appt with a Dr now and see if they find a murmur. If yes, the army isn't for you, if no, pretty your recruiter know by telling him you didn't know if it was applicable since it was a childhood thing and continue on but either way Have Some Respect For The Service and Country You Pledge An Oath To! Yup, people lie. Those people are dicks (if the lie is something that could get them or their buddy killed). I'm not saying no one lies, obviously that would be stupid, but when it affects your health and you're buddies life it should be brought up. Most everyone experiments with weed and alcohol before they enlist and that's not something that is detrimental but a heart murmur? C'mon man. Go to a Dr and get cleared. If they don't clear you, call it a day and go to college or trade school. Fuck man, integrity is everything.

If the heart specialist says you are good to go that should be the end of it

Don't worry if the specialist says you are good to go that should be the end of it.

I've got a heart murmer & I told it when I got it. It was cleared without medical records.
But being opened about lying on documentation is not smart.

Don't worry, they won't place you in front of a firing squad. It goes against Army values to lie but the fact you owned it shows you manned up. If you get in you will hear several quotes about honesty in the Army. "Honesty is the best policy", "Take a hard right over an easy wrong", etc. Going forward learn from this and be honest.

People say people joining now are smarter than anyone who joined before. I have serious doubts of the truthfulness of that statement.

If everyone who lied about Marijuana use at MEPS, hadn’t lied. There would be a major shortage of personnel in all branches of the Military.
But this is not the place to ask this question, unless you want to get caught.

You were 6 at the time. How far back can your memory go?
You were told that you would grow out of it. Your mind had already archived the issue. MEPS found it, so your mind is revisiting this memory. I don't see a lie. Just an omition of a lost memory.
Let it slide. Follow treatment and/or recommendations.
