Are you going to JRTC as a combat training center rotation, or are you going there to receive 11B MOSQ training?

Your question is kind of in the middle of both.

PFC (Join to see) - ahhhh. I see. It's like NTC with trees. I hope you like heat rash, humidity, and mosquitos. Most of the place becomes a mud pit when it rains, so have fun with turn in at the end of it. Kind of like adding insult to injury.

Well I don't know to many things since I have never been. I am pretty sure you are speaking of NTC? Sand fleas, are they an issue, if so Hartz flea collars! SUNBLOCK, Tinted Eye pro a must, hot sauce, MRE's are going to taste horrible after a few days of them 3 times a day, and pogie bait!

FYI, NTC, at Fort Irwin, CA is the mounted maneuver warfare training center. JRTC is at Fort Polk, LA and it is more dismounted warfare focused.

SGT Bryon Sergent - JRTC has been at Polk since the early 90s, relocated from Fort Chaffee, AR. JOTC in Panama was a separate entity. It closed down decades ago. It has since been reconstituted as a training course in Hawaii at Schofield Barracks.

Well, the packing list should be comprehensive. I would say bug juice, sanitizer, foot powder, Gatorade or other sport drink powder, Motrin, batteries, cord, tape, gum and probably books, books, books. Hurry up and wait is going to be a big part of it, heading to, during and coming back. Drink water starting now.
