Where are you stationed? Do you have any idea of where I’d most likely be stationed?

I advise you plan backwards from retirement and chose the job that lines that path up the best for you. Have back up plans on standby

The environment will be a lot more laid back. However the hours are long and you will work crazy hours. 1130-1300 lunches are not a thing and 1700 to get off is really early expect to put in some work. These birds break a lot.

Deployment cycles are also about every other year at any Conus duty stations. You will more than likely go to D co maintenance once complete with AIT. It’s important especially with being a reclass that you just start over. You will be treated as a private. It doesn’t matter how many missions you did in your previous job no one cares. It’s all about aircraft maintenance in this job. If you are a reliable maintainer you will be put in a line company which is a lot higher optempo
