I'm an 11B ARNG and I have a friend at work who asked me about an 18X ARNG contract. What details can someone tell me to pass onto him?

Their is only 1 SOCOM ARNG that I know of, the 20th SFG. I think they are FL based. Tell him to google it.

There's 19th and 20th Group. 19th is mostly west of the Mississippi and 20th is mostly east. 20th is HQd in AL and 19th in UT I believe. They both have detachments across their respective regions.

SSG (Join to see) - 19th has units in Ohio and West Virginia, and I believe Rhode Island. The headquarters is in Utah. the 20th has more units East of the Mississippi and I think the Group headquarters are in Birmingham, Alabama.

It's a guarantee that allows you the opportunity to try out for a Special Forces 18 MOS. It will send you to Infantry OSUT, then to Airborne School, to Special Forces Prep School, the Special Forces Selection, then to all the qualifications after that point. If you don't hack it, they either reassign you to one of their support units or you get sent to the Infantry. If he is looking at the National Guard side, the contract is called REP63, but same exact school requirements. No National Guard SF in PA, but the 19th has units in Ohio and WV, and I believe the 20th has a unit in Maryland.
