I'm Enrolled in SSD III but have not completed SSD II or ALC-CC. I had a school date for ALC-RES but was dropped from the course due to a temp profile (This also I dont understand because it was a five day profile I was on four months before I was supposed to report). SSD III opened while I was enrolled in ALC-RES so I started it. Right now SSD II does not even show up on my ACT so I could not take it if I wanted to. My questions are now that ALC-CC is going away how will I be affected by this? Will I have to go back and complete SSD-II, will I be able to get into ALC- RES?

SGT Castleman,
Even if you’re not required to go back and take them It shows up on all your digital records now and it will set your peers ahead of you if you do not take them. With the drawdowns that could be what allows you a choice of staying or gives DA the opportunity to make that choice for you.

I don't mind doing it, I'm just wondering if I'm going to be able to. It was never an option on ACT before and I'm curious how this is going to play out being that in October SSD II is required before attending ALC residency. Im guessing it will be integrated into ACT for everyone after ALC-CC phases out 1 October.

Since you are already in SSD3, you do not have to back track to SSD 2. You go forward and finish ALC

I was told the opposite. We are waiting for SSDII, there is a "backlog" because of E6s that need it.

Will all Soldiers have to take every level of SSD (i.e. Current SGM required to take SSD 1, 3 and 4)? Soldiers will be required to complete the SSD level commensurate with their rank and NCOES completion

The reason for the backlog is that to many NCO's waited til they needed it to get promoted?. I have seen a similar situation where a lot of NCO's waited to take PLDC, in which created a backlog of motivated Soldiers that want to take the course before they actually needed it. In short you are paying the price of un-motivated Soldiers that wait until the last minute. If you are already enrolled in SSD 3, stay the course.
By the way, I completed both SSD 3 and 4. I am not required to back track and take SSD 2
