I'm going to get promoted to CW3 in the next couple of months. What is the "tradition" for supplying food/refreshments for my promotion?

When I was on active duty, we used our "first month's pay raise" as a general guideline for a food/refreshment budget.

No offense, but officers can be some cheap son of a bitches concerning these matters. Don’t be that guy spend like a drunken sailor on your promotion to CW3.
