I'm prior service Army and I was considering returning to Active duty through OCS. However, I think that CID is something I would rather do as a career. I asked a recruiter about going into CID, but the only option he knew of is for me to go active and then drop a packet into cid.
I read on their website something about the Direct Accessions program. Can someone give me some guidance on this?

RallyPoint requires our members to use their real names. Aliases, initials, joint names, email addresses, business promotions and fake names are not allowed. We know nicknames/callsigns are an important part of military culture and they may be annotated in quotations in conjunction with a first name. Profiles with fake names may be suspended and/or unverified unless changed.

Hello. I have never served in the military. I took the ASVAB three days ago and I am in the beginning stages of applying for CID Direct Accessions Program. I believe the CID Direct Accessions Program is only for civilians so I am not sure you qualify for the program, but I may be wrong so double check with a recruiter. The CID Direct Accessions Program does have a multitude of requirements such as you must have a Bachelors degree with a 3.0 GPA, must be eligible for a TS security clearance and more. I am thinking since you are already served that you might have to reclass into the MOS without going through the Direct Accessions Program. Like I said I'm just a recruit at this point so I don't know much. However, I recommend you call the CID recruiting office for your questions. I've called them and they were very helpful to me. I'll leave you a link that may give you more guidance. Good Luck
