SSG Alleria Stanley geographical bachelor is a term that only applies if the Army directs you to move without Dependants, it is not a choice, and further, if you elect to leave your family behind or otherwise not move them with you, the Army owes you NOTHING by way of housing at your next duty station beyond the BAH your already receiving (and assumably spending to house your family some other location)
Un officially your new location may allow those married SM receiving BAH to house in available barracks spaces ..but understand its a maybe and its perishable, if space is needed for bonafide single SM authorized housing, your going to get the boot.

From my experience you can only be on geographical batchelor status for training and dependant restricted assignments. The Army expects you to move as a family. If you CHOSE to have your family in a different location, that’s on you.
