I’m returning to the Army next month after being out. How would I go about getting a pair of boots issued to me?

BLUF: at the replacement company, wherever installation you go, if you show up without uniforms, they will send you to AAFES to get what you need. Kind of like going to CIF too.

It really does depend on what command you are being assigned to and what post it is located. Some installations have you report, and then you'll be asked if you are reporting from MEPS if you have uniforms or not. If not, you will be issued them, But that's not everywhere.
The best advice I can give you is to find out what post you're being sent to. That lookup that post-reception unit and ask what the process is for soldiers that are prior service.

All depends. If you go back to TRADOC then there’s a possibility of being issued your uniforms and boots.
If you’re going straight to your unit then it’ll be your responsibility to obtain uniform items. Look at your orders and see where you’re going
