I'm trying to help a friend (non-military), find information about the unit his Grandfather served in during WW2!

The only information he could provide me was that he was in the Army 2nd Corps, 814th or 815th Combat Military Police Battalion and served in Africa and the Liberation of France.

Does anyone know any information as to these units or could point me in the right direction? Thanks!!

The MP Regimental Historian and MP Museum are here on Fort Leonard Wood, Try these numbers: [login to see] when prompted dial 3-5440 for the historians office, or 6-0604 for the Museum desk / 6-2131 for the museum specialist. They should be able to help you out.

Thank my dad. He keeps my google skills sharp with random texts saying "I have a mission. Should you choose to accept it, I need you to find <insert random thing here>".

One time it was one of the dancers in the music video for "Simply Irresistable" by Robert Palmer..

Hey there Sgt Jamie Barrie my dad was in France in Dec 1944... he was 16 and said he was riding a bike in countryside of France. He was in the “Merchant Marines” he also said he was in Japan during the end of the war. He was at Benning at the start of the Korean War but I have a pic of him in a suit in front of the blue house. I found a manafest to Cuba in 49 and 51. I just don’t have his schools at Benning 1950-54 time frame. Are you tracking? PM me if you can help search. Prob O. S. S or I
