I applied for reimbursement for a professional license and it took 5 months and they paid 1/3 of the cost of it.

CPT (Join to see) if you’re still serving it might be faster. I did mine after I got out and it impacted my Gi bill. So I probably used I different program. What I have found after you get out is they always deny it and then it you have to be appeal until they pay for it.

You can probably appeal it. Veterans should be covered 100% if you have the receipt and certificate.

CPT (Join to see) the problem is I’m in Montana. Which is significant, because many don’t apply for reimbursements of license or certificates here. I am appealing, but I also have to additionally go through the state approving agency, because no one had applied for that reimbursement in Montana. The license has to be added to the approved list. It is frustrating because other states already have it on the list. However, I just keep doing the right thing and pushing because it is reimbursable. It takes time, but I am patient and follow the process.

CPT (Join to see) I don’t think you will have the issues I am, if you’re in a location where others have applied for the same certificate reimbursement and received it
