I'm 25P w/ option 40 but I want to change to 11B w/ option 40. Or even 18X. I regret not taking 18X when my recruiter initially offered it. I also want to keep my student loan repayment in my contract. What should I do?

Stick with what you have. Graduate Ranger School, you can reclass without training to 11B and still be in Ranger Regiment

Maybe. You could also be very happy as a Communications Soldier, the military is what you make of it. Good Luck whatever you decide.

Until you go back to MEPS you can change everything or even cancel your contract the swear in at MEPS for Delayed entry is not binding at all until you actually leave and swear in the day you leave.. Discuss with your recruiter

Exactly.
1) They can't make you "swear in"/join,
or actually do ANYTHING you choose not to, if it's more important to you than playing the game.
2) You can be dropped @ any point during Reception Station.
3) You could be dropped @ any point during Basic.
4) You could be dropped or even re-classified @ any point during your AIT training.
5) You could be seperated from service within the first 6 months of active duty even as Honorable Discharge, without any Veterans' Benefits, *Trainee Discharge Program.
6) Once assigned to a unit you may be posted to a position / duty outside of your MOS, based on needs of unit. This isn't unusual. They will be required during your term to assign you to a position working within your MOS dedcription for atleast 6 months, & they will, to fulfill Contract Requirements.
Yes. It happened on my 1st tour. No complaints, though.
On re-enlistment, or transfer for your remaining reserves obligation, depending on the unit / location you join, you can opt for another unit compatible / beneficial MOS training (you just need to qualify). I went from: Field Artillery to PsyOps.
