I still have not received my top secret security interview yet and I ship out in a week on the eighteenth. What will happen?

What will happen if I don’t receive the interview before MEPS on ship out day? Will I get reclassify to a new job? Will I get a choice or will they give me whatever job they have available at MEPS?

You haven’t even shipped for MEPS yet? They won’t even spin the wheels on your investigation until you have started basic. Then they work your clearance through basic and AIT. Many people go through AIT on an interim clearance. This is definitely not a concern.

You have a long school. You'll get your interview and receive your interim clearance by the time you graduate

you may receive an interim clearance until your top secret is adjudicated. i don't imagine they would reclass you just because your clearance hasn't come in yet.
