It was submitted in June and made it to division level. Less than a week ago and new regulation came out that required additional paperwork on my units end. It was sent back down and from what my readiness NCO said it should be back at battalion next week. I ETS in February. My financial situation has changed since submitted. I am not making nearly what I was and am not sure if I'll bebale to pay the bills come the first of the month. My wife is a homemaker to our son. I have contacted financial aid and unfortunately don't qualify for most of it because I haven't deployed and only active time was basic and a few months of ADOS orders. What would be the best course of action to push up my current financial trouble? My recruiter has point of contacts at my division and state level but they csnt do anything until my packet reaches their level. Due to my ETS I'm not eligible to be put on ADOS orders or anything else. Thank you in advance!

You should be able to speak with your employer about the income situation and they should allow you to get another job to fill in the gap of income. Plenty of things you can do in the DFW including signing up for a temporary help firm for temp factory or warehouse work. Your wife can get a work at home job part time as well (or even full time work at home if they offer flex hours). Homemaker doesn't mean all work is ruled out. Understood she needs to be at home most of the time (which is OK) but it's only one kid she is caring for. Also, signup for and use the NEXTDOOR app and ask around your local neighborhoods. They would hire you to do handyman work as well.

I really don't see what your financial status change would have to do with your leaving one service to enter another another service. A for your not being deployed - once again I cannot see why that would change the issue. You need to provide more details. I would also have you check with your 1SG and CO, so you can expedite the issue if you're on a short timeline. Good Luck.

Thank you for taking the time to respond SFC. I'm hoping if I can get a financial status change that I could possibly expedite the process. I'm not MOS-Q and am basically just holding a slot for a school I won't attend. I have no family where I'm at that could help us if we were to become evicted, etc. We live in TX they live in TN. Current lease doesn't end until October. I'm wanting to pursue active duty which would alleviate most of my financial problems. What other details are you wanting. SFC?

Military commanders can waive leases requirement using the laws that are currently in effect. As I said before, talk to your 1SG and Commander. As for where your family resides - again talk to your commander and 1SG as there are programs they would provide money for tickets to destination for them all. The American Red Cross comes to mind as does Army Emergency Relief.
