I've been DA Selected to become a Drill Sergeant. I know that I'll go to phase one, but what does it consist of? What happens after phase 1?

Phase 1 2 and 3 are all the same school it's just broken into red, white, and blue phase jusyvlike you are going through basic training. Within the first week you will have to pitch the top 3 which consists of position of attention, the rest positions at the hault and the hand salute. Every week from then on you will pitch 1 module a week. You will also have to run PRT a few times and there are a few other things you will have to test out on. For phase one just know the drill sergeant creed and the top 3 and you should be good to go.

I can only speak on my experiences: back in 2000, pitching modules was the focus of each phase. (FT Benning). Make sure you have a great demonstrator to team up with and you will pass each phase. If that is still what happens? The physical stuff was same ole, same ole. The mental game is where I really locked down with individual studying and small group rehearsals. I hope this small snippet will help you join the most challenging position you will ever be assigned to do. Soldier hard and train them even harder!!
