While the code and your note do not necessarily match up, your only recourse was stated-speak with a recruiter. However I will add- make sure you take everything to the recruiter, arm them with the facts of your situation, any omissions will only make your chances nor Grimm. Thank you for your service.

You need to find a recruiter who will be willing to work with you to obtain a waiver. Start with the closest Army recruiting station.

SPC Kyle Baker - No, I haven't. However, I never worked in recruiting either. Sorry that I couldn't provide any more context.

Do you have proof that you no longer have anxiety issues? That might help with getting your RE code upgraded. Haven't been in that realm in a while but on the outside looking in, it wouldn't make sense applying to get your code upgraded without sending supporting documents with your request stating that the reason you were separated for no longer exists.

You WILL NOT get a waiver for an RE4. First you will have to file an appeal with the Army Discharge Review board to get your narrative Reason for Discharge changed. Once that happens, you will then have to file an appeal with the Army Board of Corrections for Military Records. Each effort will take at least 2 years. To get your discharge changed, you will have to prove that the discharge was not equitable (does the punishment fit the crime) or was not proper (they didn't follow proper procedure). if they agree..which is rare unless you have good evidence, then they will change your discharge type to something more appropriate. The you have to file the appeal with the ABCMR to get them to change your RE code to match the ADRB's decision. Check this out. http://arba.army.pentagon.mil/adrb-overview.html

NO Recruiter will help you get a waiver for an RE4, ever! Someone prove me wrong...and by doing so you can help this trooper.

I’ve had some recruiters help me, mainly guiding me where to go. As they directed to me the ADRB, so I’m getting my stuff ready now and a current clearance letter from the VA doctor to add to my file. SGT (Join to see)
