If a former special forces vet left active duty & died under questionable circumstances, would the gov/mil get involved and investigate?

Okay, what's with the cryptic message here? No longer under military direction, full civilian. No military or government investigation required....so what's missing here? did a link get deleted. The Master Gunny is lacking data for an informed decision. Semper Fi.

Cryptic only because I was limited by the number of characters I could type. More info was provided in comments.

Cpl Anthony Pearson - You can get around that by posting, then editing your post. Only that first post box is limited. If you edit it after, you can write a book if you want.

If it's under questionable services, I would say yes. Simply for the reason being that it could be retaliation for any classified operations the individual may have been involved with. Of course that's assuming it wasn't a sanctioned hit to begin with. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I know when someone announces they're writing a "Tell-All" book... accidents happen.
