If America needs you again, would you be willing to return to active duty one grade lower?

If you read Once an Eagle, you know the hero was up and down in permanent and temporary ranks based on the needs of the military...but you might not know that one of my personal heroes, Gen. Andrew Goodpaster (SACEUR) took a downgrade to 3- star rank to command his beloved West Point. If we had full mobilization or even partial mobilization, what about you?

Absolutely I'm still same weight, I can wear my original BDUs still but unfortunately life has take its toll on my body and I'm unsure I would pass APFT but put me in an Abrams Tank and I'm ready to go lol

Should our nation ever need to officially call on me to defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic, then I'm thinking the fecal matter has already hit the rotating air dispersion unit.

I have to agree with your summation. If they are asking me to come back, its all over but the cryin. But I would still give 'er hell trying to help where I could.

What is the saying? "I was a Soldier, I am a Soldier, I will always be a Soldier." In a New York minute, in a heart beat! I will gladly dawn the uniform at any rank they would allow me to serve under.......civilian life has gotten me some what domesticated! But, "Always ready, Anytime, Anyplace!"
