If an individual or organization told you they wanted to support veterans, what type of support would you ask for?

I'd want that organization that was fully knowledgeable in ALL the benefits that veterans and their dependents were eligible to receive no matter what their service or status. I'd want them to contact EVERY veteran at separation, EVERY dependant upon the death of a veteran; EVERY veteran at the time they are diagnosed with a disabling illness or injury no matter the percentage of disability. I'd want them to carefully and intelligently walk the person through the process of applying for benefits; keep the applicant informed of the progress of the application; follow up on the progress of the application so it continues through the system in a REASONABLE AND TIMELY MANNER; and immediately file any appeal upon denial. I don't want this to be part of a government program that is trying to protect the use of government money for veteran's benefits. I'd want them to provide their services for free, since our country made an agreement with each veteran to provide these benefits for them when they signed up to be in the service of our country. Each vet has delivered on their end of the contract, so it's incumbent on our country to inform and deliver the benefits in toto to the veteran after they have served.
