Like I do not mind not living in the same house, as long as I can drive down there on the weekends to see her and spend time.

SPC (Join to see) Are you enrolled in MACP? The program now covers Joint married couples. https://www.hrc.army.mil/content/Married%20Army%20Couples%20Program

You need to work with your chain of command and let your branch know you want Ft Irwin. Surprisingly, there are many who seek to go there, but not such a line that you'll get much push back. Spent 4 years there.

Thank you sir, but MACP does not apply to different branches. Thank you for the information.

SPC (Join to see) - read the link. HRC says that they will try and accommodate other branches, I imagine Pendleton Irwin is an easy sell.

If I am married to a Marine who is stationed at Camp Pendleton, how hard is it for me to get Fort Irwin?

Getting there isn't usually an issue as long as there's a slot for your MOS and Rank. How long it takes to get there is a different story. There are minimum time on station requirements and HRC manning cycles which would likely put your PCS sometime next year.
