If I can get a DD 368 signed by Chain of Command, how long is the process in the reserves?

Do I get the chance to re-class, and not stay in my current MOS?

Any other details and other info would be greatly appreciated.

The process depends on your command and their desire to work with you, to be honest. Mine was done in less than 60 days, but I’ve seen other in limbo for much longer.

Get with your recruiter or whoever is requesting the 368 on your behalf and speak with your first line leader to see what you can do.

Getting a DD368 signed for my direct commission was a pain for me. The time it takes seriously depends on your command's support. Getting it signed at the company and battalion level should be a breeze. The hang up usually happens at the 2-star level where it can sit for weeks and even months. It helps if you have established rapport with your BN S1 who will do weekly or so check-ins to see what's the status update of the general signing it. Make sure your 368 is pristine when submitted up to eliminate possibility for it to be kicked back.

I went though this last year. Took 5 and a half months to get my 368 signed. Once I got it back at the end of March 2018, I was at the recruiters the very next day. 2 weeks later I was at MEPS picking my MOS and a few weeks after that I was back at MEPS swearing in and leaving for my new mos school. Whether you reclass or not is dependent on the current prior service business rules which as of Jan 14, all MOS's are open for grades E1-E4 with a few exceptions. 92F is open so you would get to keep your job and likely direct report to your duty station. If you would like to change MOS, get promoted as they become more restrictive and give you a higher likelihood of having to be retrained as you hit E5 and E6. Google Army Prior Service business rules and look at the result on the goarmy site. It explains everything.

SGT(P) (Join to see) nope, as of late 2017 (unless its changed recently) as long as I was green across the board on my medpros, you are allowed to do a no med process. Absolutely no medical screening, they didnt even do a height and weight on me (did one at recruiters office though). Only bad part was in my case, they let all the brand new people go first so I literally had to sit there till 3 pm till anything got done on mine.

SSG Radici, did you have to build a packet when you sent up the 368? Or did you just send the 368 up by itself?

SGT (Join to see) they had me write a short letter why I wanted to go active duty. My unit admin did the rest.
