We recently had a few new people who had a break in service similar to your situation. Several did not have uniforms or even PTs. They were informed by our CoC to show up in business casual civilian clothing. Our S4 ordered them uniforms but they've been behind in fulfilling our orders so they continue to be in business causal for the moment. Definitely contact your CoC to see how they expect you to report in since you have no uniforms.

Contact your platoon sergeant or first sergeant. Whatever you do, don't show up in the wrong and when asked why say, "somebody online told me to".

It's ok I had no gear coming into AT which was my official first drill just call ahead they will understand and work with you like I called and met with my command about 2 weeks before and they ordered my TA50 but it takes months to receive but my command was chill because at least I put in the order. Hopefully your command is the same.

Let's be honest. It's the reserves. You could show up in rubber ducky floatie and you'd be good

SPC (Join to see) - That greatly depends on the unit. But yes, there is a lot more leniency in the Guard/Reserves.

No definitely do not show up in civies. You need to be in OCPs and have PTs just in case.

You departed service with uniforms yes?
Put one one and go to drill.
Lacking a uniform ..call your unit... there are full timers there every duty day, call them and ask, get a name and rank of the person that gave you the guidance in case its wrong, and show up to drill as advised.

I was never in the reserves ....but I was a leader a day or two.. If you showed up in Civ clothes having made no attempt to contact the unit and get guidance, I would look at that as an "experienced" SM who knows what right is, and should have been proactive, to ask for guidance, keep the unit informed when they don't know and FAILED to do so. That will be the first impression you bring with you to your new unit.

SPC Bradford Bolden - Perfect, wear it and go to drill, or , go one step further..contact the unit anyway, let them know you have but one uniform, no gear and you will be at drill on XX.
Now its not a surprise to PSG though company leadership.
Perhaps they will even be provocative and have the full timer HR and supply Tech (if the unit has one) have what gear is available ready and the remaining ordered.
At the very least you have done everything you can, kept your new leadership informed and are showing you a problem solver, not a problem maker.
Heck of a different first impression then no call and showing up in jeans and a T shirt unannounced saying "Im Here..what now?"

Individuals who have left active duty recently should have a uniform. However, We have had people come to the reserves when I was in with five and ten year breaks in service. Also if you come from the National Guard to the Army Reserve. The National Guard Requires you to turn in all your Uniforms as they are considered State Property. I had to do this when I was in the guard and transferred to the reserves. However, I always purchased at least two extra Uniforms. So I always had a uniform that was serviceable and clean. Back then it was just a matter of getting new unit patch sewn on.

I also forgot to mention we also got new members to my Army Reserve Unit who were from other Branches. We had one come over from the Navy Reserve and about four that were Active Duty Airforce. Some had uniforms from their former service branch but the commander and first sergeant wanted them attired in army uniforms. The Only exception was the person from the Navy she was a Navy Corpsmen and we were an Army Medical Unit. The Navy Unit allowed her to RST with us for her remaining Naval time making the transition from navy to army very seamless. Plenty of time to do paper work and order Army Uniforms.
