If I fail a drug test in the Army National Guard while still under contract, can I switch branches (asking for a friend)?

Asking for a friend? Really? Short answer....NO. Long answer....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Pull your head out of your ass and stop doing that stupid shit. And if you feel you can't stop or don't want to stop, then remove yourself from the Service. Because at this point, you are a detriment to your squad, your platoon, your company and the Army.

LTC Kevin B. - Sir, I did not realize I had to use kid gloves for someone in the service that is using drugs. Also, when you compare this to many other posts here on RP, this is probably one of the most tame "attacks," as I have read many many many posts put on this board by others that make my response look like it was written by Mother Theresa.

MSG (Join to see) - I don't debate that we've both seen worse attacks on here. However, when I see worse, I do address it with the poster. Do I catch them all? No. I do have a day job that limits my ability to be everywhere on the boards.
Additionally, I've posted questions on behalf of others on here (who didn't want to be connected to the question), so it's not unrealistic to think the OP may indeed have been posting for someone else. That's the difference between the two of us. My knee-jerk reaction isn't "You're lying." So, I addressed the question posted, rather than making baseless assumptions about the poster's legitimacy, and then attacking them with unnecessary angst. That's not "kid gloves". That's simply being professional.

No. Do you really think another branch would take someone that has failed a drug test? If you are asking for a friend, why do you state "If I fail a drug test." Someone needs to get their act together.
