My question is this and its pretty simple I just want to hear someone's advice or opinion on it. I had asthma as a kid probably only used an inhaler twice in my life but over the age of 13. I'm 24 years old and like I said last time used an inhaler was 13 or 14. I just recently graduated from college and have been wanting to pursue a career in the military mostly army. I recently got a Pulmonary Function test more specifically a Spirometry test and the tests came back negative for any asthma or breathing problems. I run daily and am very active with myself showing any signs of it. Since this is documented and shown to explain I do not have asthma from my doctor do I even have to mention it then to a recruiter or at meps? Thanks

If there's a mention of it in your medical records, you should divulge it, otherwise that will involve an additional trip to MEPS

Disclose it! You might require a waiver but it sounds like you have all of the documents that you need for the waiver to be approved. You do not want a fraudulent enlistment on your record if it comes out after the fact. Talk to your recruiter

Do you have asthma? No. Have you ever had asthma? No.

If a diagnosis of asthma is in his medical records he needs to answer 'yes'. Failure to do so will cause him bigger problems later on than if he just told the truth.
