If I just commissioned from ROTC into USAR, but don’t have orders for BOLC yet, how can I get a CAC to access enterprise email?

I just commissioned into the USAR from ROTC. My CAC expired on the day I commissioned, but I don’t have orders to go to BOLC yet. I have read places that I need my BOLC orders in order to get a new CAC card, but have also read I can get a green IRR card until I get my orders to BOLC. With the IRR card, I won’t have access to enterprise though. Is there a way I can get a new CAC card to allow me access to enterprise without my orders? I do have a DA 71 if that helps any.

Here's the link to setup an appointment for a CAC replacement. As far as the system knows, you are a 2LT with an expired CAC. Just get a new one. Also, regarding BOLC, do you have a class date? I had to speak up and get my Reserve unit to schedule mine after I reported to them. It just wasn't automatic for me.
Yes, you need BOLC, don't wait around for it, but it's not a super rush to get it done. You have 18 months to finish it without it impacting your 1LT promotion.

As for BOLC, I don’t have a date yet. I start in processing with my Reserve unit soon and my CO said first thing on the agenda is getting that date set up and taken care of. So, he is helping me to stay on top of that and make sure I get my date scheduled.

If you are commissioned, you should be in the system and can get a new CAC.

I have a question regarding my current situation as a prior service enlisted Soldier. I ETS’d in April and am scheduled to reenlist in two days at the Fort Sam Houston MEPS. Following reenlistment, I’ve been instructed to report directly to Fort Campbell.
I will be driving myself to both Fort Sam Houston and Fort Campbell in my personally owned vehicle (POV). However, my Common Access Card (CAC) is expired, and I currently have no base access. I am concerned that this may create difficulties when attempting to enter Fort Sam Houston for reenlistment, and again at Fort Campbell for in-processing.
Any guidance or assistance on how to properly gain access to these installations or how to obtain a new CAC under these circumstances would be greatly appreciated.

Look up your local rapids station. Take a copy of your commissioning paperwork with your orders showing your new rank and your documentation to the rapids station and get new photo and new CAC.
